Academic Program

The goal of elementary education at the Atid School is to prepare students in such a way that will allow them to continue developing their intellectual and emotional capacity, motor and personal balance abilities and interpersonal relationships by acquiring essential cultural and universal knowledge. It seeks to stimulate a shared human consciousness, students that will be and act as citizens of the world; that will be life-long learners, acquiring tools that will allow them to adapt to an ever-changing world.

At the Atid School we are convinced that the seeds for future academic success are nurtured in the first years in school. Future learning will depend on the acquisition of strong fundamentals in reading, mathematics and every scholastic area. We firmly believe in the need of developing essential skills and competencies that will bring school and everyday life closer together, so that students will be able to have a better understanding of the world around them. This is why the Primary Years Program of the International Baccalaureate is implemented as the structural axis of the curriculum of this section.

English language is taught as a second language and as a medium through which students learn about other things. The understanding of other cultures through language allows for a broader vision of the world and our shared humanity.

As an essential element of our curricular development, we stimulate an inquisitive spirit in the students and a natural curiosity that will promote the enjoyment of learning. One of our priorities is to give students opportunities to develop learning abilities that are social and autonomous, as well as the capacity to transfer this knowledge to other contexts.

We also constantly promote the understanding of concepts and universal knowledge, respecting the diversity of pedagogic perspectives that respond to the different teaching and learning styles. This process is accomplished through six units of inquiry in each grade corresponding to general topics that refer to different areas of knowledge.

Through our Elementary School program we promote specific qualities that will identify and differentiate students as global citizens and members of the IB learning community: inquisitive, reflexive, supportive, audacious, open-minded, balanced, upright, thinking and communicative.

Our program offers an integral academic formation, complemented by library study, the arts, physical education, technology, etc.

Elementary School requires the collaboration of all members of the community to guide the students toward the development of socially responsible actions. This task is shared by the Parents Society and the Psychopedagogic Department.

Judaic Studies

The Judaic Studies aim to form and strengthen a Jewish-Mexican identity and cultural awareness, as well as to continually foment the recognition and growth of universal human values, through Jewish traditions and the acquisition of the Hebrew language, creating a sense of belonging to the Jewish people.
