Preschool

Message from the Principal
We have the firm belief that at Preschool Atid, every kid is different and unique, owning different abilities and skills that distinguish them from the rest. Consequently, the relationship processes that every student develops are different in each case. Our role as educators is to support, guide, and encourage these differences; respecting, and recognizing each child’s identity.
We must provide them with situations and experiences that will allow the practice of the everyday learnings they acquire through winnings and errors. In their strengths, we will encourage them to go beyond their goals. In their fields of opportunity, we will inspire them to keep trying until they can overcome them.
Learning isn’t just acquiring academic knowledge. It goes beyond that: it is the abilities that will allow students to resolve daily situations through reflection, self-control, and a conscience of the link that exists between every individual. It is the abilities that will enable them to evaluate their emotions and values that define both their existence and others’.
In the Atid School, we work every day in collaboration with parents and teachers to build a cutting-edge learning community. This way, we can allow our kids to develop their full potential through the IB Continuum. At the end of their academic journey, our students will have the necessary tools to face the globalized world with responsibility. And with their influence, they will build a better place while honoring their identity: the Mexican-Jewish.

Curriculum
Within the framework of personalized education, Atid Preschool aims to develop a child’s thinking and help them acquire the tools that will allow them to take charge of their lives consciously and freely. Furthermore, we work to adapt education to the personal qualities and needs of each student and to provide a wide variety of ways to promote growth, efficiency, and motivation to learn.
The curricular program is directed to children between two and six years of age. It is based on learning theories that consider that kids learn through experience when they discover, inquire, act and reflect. The child’s previous knowledge is the basis for the construction of new achievements.
Based on the enhancement of a Mexican-Jewish identity and an international education, Atid Preschool has an early English immersion program and follows the IB’s PYP (Primary Years Programme) through inquiry projects that integrate five significant abilities: social, thinking, communication, investigation, and self-management. They are developed across the disciplinary areas of Language, Math, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, the Arts, and Personal, Social, and Physical Education.
Technology is an essential tool for learning, and the teaching of Hebrew as the language of Identity is initiated at this stage. The students also participate in learning experiences through music, dance, movement, the arts, and ecology.
The Preschool teaching staff is highly qualified and receives continuous pedagogical education in order to implement and enrich a program that fulfills national and international standards of educational quality.

Special Programs

Green Garden
Preschool has the privilege of having a ‘Green Garden’ to connect classroom learning actively, with practical experiences in an orchard -an outdoor learning space that is kept productive with the continued planting and reaping of organic vegetable crops, aromatic herbs, and flowers.

Learning while we share
Not only do Inquiry projects provide new knowledge and advancement of different abilities, they give the children the opportunity to transfer their learning into actions that benefit the whole community, resulting in attitudes of responsibility and solidarity. “Learning while we share” contributes to the formation of young social entrepreneurs who, in the future, will be able to make a difference, not only in their community but in their country and the rest of the world. The program consists of sharing some of our successful projects with a SEP school, which we have adopted as our “preschool friend.”

Atelier: recycle and reuse
Preschool students learn about sustainability using their imagination and creativity in the “Atelier: recycle and reuse” workshop. In addition to classifying waste, children use varied materials in the “atelier,” a laboratory where the children’s expression and inventiveness are recognized; it is a place for experimentation and inquiry, where the students’ potentials are acknowledged, where they are allowed to exercise their imagination freely.

Atid Emotion
Atid E-Motion is a program that belongs to the extracurricular workshops. It is a space in which preschoolers learn to identify their emotions in a fun, creative, and assertive way. In this workshop, they acquire tools that will allow them to empathize by respecting themselves and others.
